Programs that need some services running wont install, already tested and mentioned in the forums.
There are some programs that can be installed at a very early stage (Specialize), before OOBE.
I have tested this months ago and it doesn't works this way, Windows setup restores the Ms file association, I guess the DISM integration register/replace the existing ones.
Same situation as jraju.
Go to Source page - Tools menu - Download updates button.
Once the updates list is updated, look for the header 'Path' and it will show you where are located the cached updates or where they will be downloaded. If already downloaded, right click and select "open file...
Are you sure that you didn't loaded the Live image (C:Windows) on the Source page?
Go to Updates page after loading an image and look for the existing KB numbers in the right side panel.
Post-Setup (aka setupcomplete) isn't running.
The Product Key should be ony in Setup field, not in Activation field. If your PKey is legit, you don't need to change the key again.
I don't add a key but remove all images or edit the autounattend.xml file (by removing the keys "installfrom" and...
In unattended page, check the box setupcomplete in the toolbar, OEM branded BIOS detected by Windows Setup don't call setupcomplete.cmd.
You have to use only 1 key, in Setup, not in activation as it should be different.
Windows 7 Sp1 built by Ms isn't as expected, seems like Ms integrated SP1 to Windows 7 and then released as Windows 7 SP1 to public.
Go to post #17, download the latest update list there and check the annoying updates note (telemetry and updates/upgrade related).
All the updates listed as "Pending install" are already integrated ok.
Windows setup is needed and works like installing an update that ask for reboot to be applied.
The Windows 7 SP1 untouched that i have shows SP1 update as "Pending install".
Load Windows 7
Add KB976932
Use Analyze button
Add listed updates (can't remember if there is 1 or 2)
Add lates post SP1 updates.
I have made an update list excluding cumulative updates up to 2018-02
There should be enabled the Analyze button in the tollbar, it is enabled and an update is listed in red when a previous update is needed, click on Analyze and add the listed updates in the popup, NTLite will sort it for you.
Windows 10 x64 updated images are over 4 GB (ESD format not tested).

- The minimum to run NTLite is Windows 7, read almost to the end of this page (after "For clarity on specific frequent questions").
- the older program (r2seven), I think is a tool made with nuhi's (vLite) stolen...
- No need for reverse checking, go to temp folder and check the ntlite.log file or to the source folder if no changes to checkboxes in Apply page (can't remember the exact option name for backup log and preset).
- You can install or only load the image in NTLite and go to Update page and check...
