Quick follow up. I did as you suggested, nuhi. Imported the preset, then added store compatibility (only). Immediately created the iso, and did a fresh vm install. Internet works as expected, thank you. Windirstat reports 10GB used, almost 8 of that in the windows directory. Firefox runs fine...
