Question about Machine support (Hardware lists)

if I enable or disable this setting no tangible effects are apparent...could someone clarify to me what and where do the effects apply?

When an image is loaded, NTLite compares the host PC's current drivers list and automatically protects those same drivers from being removed. In order to override the default protection, you must uncheck Compatibility Mode's "Machine support (Hardware lists)" / Host machine.

Checking any one of the other Hardware lists will protect pre-determined drivers that each VM type requires in order to operate. This can be helpful for those building a VM-only image, and want to strip their drivers down to a minimum without breaking the VM.

Unless you're an advanced IT pro, most users will never need to touch these Compatibility settings.
