Windows 11 Change default apps

hey does someone know a way to define a new default app/program in NTlite?
Like making Adobe reader to the default pdf reader
or chrome to the default browser?

First export your defaults, then import it to your live system or install.wim

Dism.exe /Online /Export-DefaultAppAssociations:"Location\FileAssociations.xml"
Dism.exe /Image:"Location" /Import-DefaultAppAssociations:"Location\FileAssociations.xml"

Reset: Dism.exe /Online /Remove-DefaultAppAssociations

That works for about one second, then UWP apps will destroy your DISM settings.

If you removed the Default Apps (which I suspect you do), then imported app associations will stick around. Otherwise UWP provisioning gets the last word in, and again if the app is updated.
