NTLite support for Windows Embedded 8.1 versions

I always believed that ntlite did not support Embedded or IoT editors as stated on the homepage, until I loaded "Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Enterprise with Update (x64)" and "Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Pro with Update (x64)".
Both industrial embedded versions can be loaded and streamlined.
So it seems that apart from the customized embedded system of Raspberry Pi, all other embedded versions can be streamlined?
 
From the NTLite Features page:
Does not support:
 Checked/Debug editions
 Embedded or IoT editions (exception being the ‘Enterprise’ subset, it is supported)
 Surface Recovery images
 Windows Vista
 Windows XP
 Windows Server 2008 and older

Anything else might be accidental, but not officially supported.
 
if official support worries you just use regular 8.1 Pro, there will be very little difference once you have taken out system apps.
 
I believe that special components in such special versions cannot be detected and removed. For example, in the Raspberry Pi version, these components are specially customized for it.
NTlite will not prevent the loading of the image and will detect all components it supports for removal.Unless certain components are not in its warehouse.

Yes, ntlite can streamline the regular 21h2 into a system exactly like ltsc2021.
But I believe that certain system level aspects of the embedded version, such as resource scheduling, may be different from the regular version, after all, this is for low-end industrial control computers and requires extremely low resources. It is definitely not simply deleting UWP applications.
 
NTLite doesn't officially support ARM either, because nuhi doesn't own an ARM device (AFAIK since the last time he made a comment). Given the current adoption of Windows ARM, it might be a long time. Who knows, maybe those ARM-powered AI PC's might get popular.

He might be still working his way up on Windows Hello fingerprint readers...

Of course, the number of users for ARM devices is very small, and they are not the target market for NTlite.
It's not worth investing in these obscure versions, as it will take more time and cost to achieve extremely low returns.

All speculations based on evidence and in accordance with the rules are worth it.
These companies will not be foolish enough to purchase versions of drivers that only remove a few programs at an expensive price.
Moreover, if it weren't for the activation restrictions, this version would definitely receive good reviews.
If ltsc/b cannot be activated using conventional methods, we won't know it either.
 
while you are at it try vista, xp and whatever came before that because i am SaS certain you are just going through every damn iso ms has published just for messing arounds sake, not to actually get stuff done.
 
Do you actually work for a real enterprise or managed organization, or have any experience as an app developer?

There are different Windows SKU's that exist for very specific functions. Embedded is simply a stripped down version of Pro or Enterprise, minus all the consumer features that a turnkey system doesn't need, nor does the vendor want to support when selling a closed solution to a client.

Just because you can pirate any random Windows ISO doesn't make you an expert.

Exploring versions other than the regular version is a job for nuhi or garlin, but for most people, it is just a hobby and a way to relax outside of work. Having experience is not important to me.
Of course, using a streamlined system to improve stability in work and game can be helpful, but you will never use embedded or server versions. This is just one way to extract this type of information.

You are very humorous, and I often make mistakes when translating your sentences. For example, "Google fu" will make me search for its meaning for a long time.o_O
If I don't understand its meaning, it will make me very uncomfortable.

Sorry I just saw it. I do have a problem with my answer. I should apologize to garlin. I was probably busy at the time and replied rather hastily. I reply to every comment because it is the most basic respect between people. So while replying in a hurry during work, I would open the ntlite forum when I saw the email notification.
