When I went into the last part of post #31 where he describes to Remove Tasks in NTLite (remove is the only option), when I clicked on the first task called Windows Defender Cache Maintenance, a message box came up saying "Purchase a new license, or renew an existing license to unlock this...
I want to disable Windows Defender in my NTLite .iso. I'm at the point going down the list of components and I unchecked the box next to Windows Defender. As soon as I unchecked the box, a white box came up that has a title of Windows Defender - Uncheck all - Needed for:
And then there are two...
I just opened up NTLite and imported the Windows 11 24H2 .iso file. I just loaded the Windows Pro version. Now all those other versions I don't want in my final .iso I would imagine I can just right-click on each one and choose Delete?
Or isn't there something you come across later on that says...
I tried opening up the Registry Editor and choosing import, and importing your registry file, but I still get the same error message. But I'm not working with a clean install of Windows either.
I tried that. It looked like it partially worked. When I ran this command to test if Defender was disabled, it gave me only 2 false entries. The third entry was still true:
Get-MpComputerStatus | Select-Object AMServiceEnabled, AntivirusEnabled, RealTimeProtectionEnabled
When I looked in Task...
I tried importing your .reg but it didn't work. I tried it in safe mode too. I got this:
When I clicked on Merge it said "cannot import..." "Not all data was successfully written to the registry. Some keys are open by the system or other processes, or you have insufficient privileges to perform...
If I tried to merge that .reg file you posted in that thread would that work? If not how does one disable the 5 defender services (not using help from NTLite) but just doing it within Windows itself?
Actually, I'm starting to think that you have to use NTLite to disable those 5 services. I was...
Just to be clear, I have not made my custom NTLite setup disk yet. I am simply still using my computer the way it came. I asked Copilot to give me a .reg file that would disable Windows Defender. Didn't work. I have tried several different ways that Copilot recommended (like merging the file...
I bought NTLite many years ago (can't recall exactly when), and I was wondering if I downloaded the latest version if my serial number would allow me to use it? Or would I need to purchase the new version?
I did have a laptop many weeks ago. I sent it back and now I have a new desktop. I think...
Okay I found out that there are two versions of Copilot. I inadvertently downloaded and installed the office version which I don't want. I found the free version by clicking Start and looking among the apps.
It's okay now.
This Windows 11 seems like it's buggy. Duplicate drive listings in File...
Thank You Much. Now the problem I'm having is the Copilot icon disappeared from my taskbar. Opening up the Microsoft Store and trying to download and install it didn't work. I found a question similar on a Microsoft site and it led me to be able to download it. But now the icon says M365 which...
No. It does not look like Snap Assist. It is a white strip that is at the top center of your monitor. Not the corners or edges. I have tried many things to get rid of it with no luck so far.
But I will be doing a reinstall of Windows 11 and installing my drivers so perhaps that will fix the issue.
This is not necessarily a question pertaining to using NTLite but I would like to ask it anyway. There is a dumb, white strip that appears on the top of my monitor when I move a window closer to the top of the monitor.
Copilot does say it can be annoying and has given me some recommendations to...
