Windows Defender and Security Center question

I want to disable Windows Defender in my NTLite .iso. I'm at the point going down the list of components and I unchecked the box next to Windows Defender. As soon as I unchecked the box, a white box came up that has a title of Windows Defender - Uncheck all - Needed for:

And then there are two words that say : Security Center.

On the bottom of the window is a check box that says All (and this is checked already), plus a Yes and No button.

So I imagine I just click on Yes?

I know I have to do other stuff in Configure - Settings and I have that stuff written down, but just for now do I just hit Yes?

After removing Defender, Security Center will be broken. Even if you don't use Defender, Security Center is still required if you want to use a GUI to manage security features like Account protection (Windows Hello), Windows Firewall, App & Browser control and Core Isolation.

Instead of removing Defender, you can disable it from running:

If you prefer to completely remove Defender, then click Yes to accept NTLite's decision to remove Security Center at the same time.

Okay I will just disable it. But I would rather follow the instructions in post #31 from the member ddlnegocios, using NTLite options.

I don't really think his method's faster. Lots of clicking inside NTLite.

Option #2 is the bare minimum to disable Defender. It's presented as single reg file, to make it easier to inspect what's disabled.
Option #1 adds unnecessary fluff, which the web likes to add.

When I went into the last part of post #31 where he describes to Remove Tasks in NTLite (remove is the only option), when I clicked on the first task called Windows Defender Cache Maintenance, a message box came up saying "Purchase a new license, or renew an existing license to unlock this feature."

The word remove was already there but it was with a red dot next to it.

So I can't use NTLite to remove these tasks unless I buy a new license? I would have to open Task Scheduler once I'm at the desktop and disable them there?

How do I buy or renew my license? Without shutting down NTLite and losing all my work that I've done so far?

Wait...So I click the 3 lines in the upper left corner of the interface, and select Manage License and visit the main page and buy a new one?

All I see when I click on Manage License is it says "New features subscription until: 6/30/2018".

You have all the licensed features available before 6/20/2018 (which was W10, and W11 didn't ship until 2021). So yeah, you're missing like half of the current features unless you renew NTLite at the normal 50% discount.

Okay I renewed my license. And I selected the Remove option for those 4 scheduled tasks. The LED next to the task is still colored Red like it was before, I was expecting green. But I'm not getting that message about purchasing a new license to unlock this feature anymore, so I'm guess things are working okay.

Now I got to just continue down the list of settings.

Red color is for when a scheduled task is to be removed.

For an offline image, tasks are protected from outside tampering by a security hash. Therefore the only options are to leave them alone (default grey color) or delete the task entirely (red color). You cannot disable tasks for offline images, but only when Windows is running live.
