Hi Guys,

I have a question about the All In One ISO. An ISO without the cfg file displays an additional screen allowing the user to select the version of Windows edition that they want to install. How does the setup program know what the user selected? I ask this question because I have an issue that I can't figure out. I have an ISO with both 64 and 32 Bit images. I load the 64 bit Ultimate image and create an ISO. The ISO created is for the version I loaded but it's the 32 bit version not the 64 bit version. I can understand what is happening but I'm not sure how to deal with the issue. The problem is I need to do an unattended install because I will be installing Windows on a Ryzen based PC. There are issues with USB support during install hence the need for the unattended install. Does anyone have a suggestion about how to deal with this problem? Is there a way to extract a specific image from the ISO and create a new ISO.

Using an already modified image may give you problems so start again with a clean untouched iso source, they are easy enough to get.
What windows do you want to install on Ryzen? And what cpu will you be using, a cpu or a Raven Ridge apu?
If you are using an APU then read this topic.

I want to install Win 7 Ultimate 64 Bit. The new computer has a Ryzen 7 2700+ processor. I'm NOT a fan of Win 10. The 32 Bit Images display at the top of the tree and the 64 Bit images are at the bottom of the tree. Since the cfg file does not have any entry to distinguish 32 from 64 bit the setup runs the first Ultimate image it finds. In this case the 32 bit version.

Many questions.
* Can't remember if the setup shows one edition, if it does, the ei.cfg removal shows all editions.
* The setup program knows because you highlighted the edition to install
* Load the image win 7 ultimate x64, remove the ei.cfg, enable the unattended and you won't see other options, check the box dual architecture and you'll see the option to select an edition on setup
* Also integrate USB drivers to boot.wim ->setup image not only to win ultimate.
* Use right click over Win ultimate -> option Export

I hope it works for you

W7? You may want toread the apu link anyway. Getting 7 to install on Ryzen is a hit or miss affair because 7 doesnt have native usb3/3.1 support. I spent 4 hours trying to get 7 installed onto Coffee Lake(i3 8300/B360) without luck. You may have similar problems with Ryzen. I did manage toget 8.1 installed without a problem though because it has native usb3/3.1 drivers.

On the boot.wim, Index 2 Microsoft Windows Setup, not Index 1, PE(unless you use PE).

There is no cfg file in this ISO. I don't see dual architecture option where is it located

I have enabled the unattended option and do not see a Dual architecture option. Which tab is it located under?

I've found it. Sorry I'm new to this and still finding my way around the program. I'm still not understanding what doing this will accomplish. I will NOT have keyboard or mouse usage during install hence the use of the unattended install. This is why I'm trying to extract the 64 Bit Ultimate image and create an ISO

Its what we are here for. Things are hard to see if they are greyed out, disabled or not availible in unlicensed mode.

You are describing the problems i had with 7 on CL. I had to use an unattended file to get around kb/mouse not working and they still didnt, kb did but mouse didnt if i remember correctly.

Strange thing was that although the mouse light(not a ball mouse) was on the pointer didnt move. 4 hours and i gave up.

The PC in question is a Ryzen 7 based system. Information online suggests that Win 7 will not install because USB will not function during install. Hence the unattended install. There are other issues messing with me. They are mentioned further up in my initial post. I'm not sure how any of this will help me. The real problem I'm trying to solve is the extraction of the Win 7 Ultimate 64 Bit image from the ISO and create a separate ISO to base my unattended install upon.

All in one iso's are out of my leaghue but i do recommend you use a clean source as it will be much easier, see maszd post, you will finjd it easier to get an iso, it still downloads from ms but it gives you greater control when selectiong iso's. If you try extracting your source from the AIO you may have missing files.

It seems that I will have to use one of my other ISOs for this situation. This ISO is more trouble than it's worth. Thanks for the help
