Can the old XML preset be used in the latest version of NTLite?

Can the old XML preset be used in the latest version of NTLite?
 
Sure, you may have some skipped items if old as v1.2, there were a few changes back then and in the meantime that legacy loading code was removed for better future maintenance. Years passed after all.

Can the new version of XML preset be used in the old version of NetLite? Is there an unknown conflict?
 
Names of components are the same (if taking both versions post v1.2), so they are compatible.
Tweak names were changed maybe in v1.5, so there you might lose some if going before 1.5.

Also try it, load old/new, resave as some test name, compare XML to the original, post here if you see any issues.
No risk.
