I have a Windows 10 LTSC 2021 wim image. Currently, the October 2025 CU is integrated (19044.6456). Unfortunately, adding the CUs after October 2025 (25.11 / 25.12 / 26.01) always results in an error. NTlite keeps asking for an ESU license, even though it shouldn't be needed for Windows 10 LTSC 2021. The WIM itself is definitely good because I can properly install with it. Also, if I use the basic ISO installer, I can't update it either. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing the error?

W10 ESU is provided as a "bridge" so users have 3 more years to migrate off a legacy platform. You're only getting security fixes, so the ESU updates don't add any new features or bug fixes for Windows.

MS is not making it easy, because you're supposed to gone by now. This is why the ESU licensing cost goes up in year 2 & 3, to punish those still using W10.
