Clean update backup (DISM - Compatible) is not completing. Intended, bug or me?

See attached pics and logs.

Any ideas why Clean update backup (DISM Compatible) isn't completing on index.wim (blue dot in pics)?

I'm integrating some self-downloaded updates to go from Win10 19045.2965 to 19045.5247. The only components removed were Localization > Language (keeping the 4 IME entries marked in blue).

I'm seeing the exact same behavior with Win11 26100.1 to 26100.2605 (see 4th attachment -- no logs on this one).

So what's going on with Dism cleanup not completing in the UI? Is it by design or what?
 
I am also experiencing the same issue. Genuine Windows ISO using updates downloaded through NTLite here. Integration completes fine, but the dot on the DISM cleanup is blue with a progress bar stuck at 20%. I suspect it's just a visual bug, but it's still concerning. nuhi
 
When parallel images are being processed, there is currently a UI bug, will solve it for the next update and post here when done.
Thank you for the report.

It can also be that you found something that stops the cleanup, wouldn't be the first time DISM cleanup is picky.

I actually have NTLite set to process the updates sequentially rather than use parallel processing if that is what you mean. Regardless, if I find out more info, I'll relay it to you. NTLite seems to recognize that the updates are integrated at the very least.
 
I agree, it seems like a visual-only bug. I had parallel processing enabled, for what it's worth. No obvious problems with resulting ISO.
 
Hey nuhi , just an update. I updated to the 2024.12.10221 version of NTLite today and this is visual (?) bug that I saw with the DISM cleanup part of processing.

Edit: Well, I tried to attach the picture, but something is going wrong with the upload. In any case, Clean update compatible shows as a blue dot with 20% completion even though the rest of the image processing completed.
