Hello, I would like to make a W7 ISO with just these security updates:

https://www.askwoody.com/forums/top...-of-group-b-monthly-updates-for-win7-and-8-1/

My question is: will it work? I ask because these updates MUST be applied IN ORDER so that they work, AND the KB-xxx isn't always progressive, since some updates were patched later in the time and thus have an higher number.

I just want to know if making an ISO with original W7 Professional SP1 + all the updates in that list will work.

Can I also include a list of telemetry updates that must be hidden and never installed?

KB2952664/KB3150513
KB3021917
KB3022345
KB3068708
KB3080149

Yes it will work. You can use as many or as few updates as you require but some updates must have other updates installed before or after and those may contain telemetry stuff. MS have a nasty habit of hiding things inside other things, have you ever seen those wooden russian dolls, you open one and there is another? ms do the same and there is no way you can uninstall them. Dirty rotten swines

KB3125574, the big CU from a few years back, the unofficial SP2 update, adds telemetry. You can use the sp1 dvd/iso and not use 3125574 then use whatever woody suggests. There is a problem doing that every month because it takes time for someone to look at the new updates, see what they contain so you and developers are always playing catch up, its Whack A Mole for windows.

One good thing about windows 7 being old is that people like nuhi have got the privacy options and tweaks down to a fine art so they just need to identify the latest telemetry malarky each month. This will also include windows 8.1 which is an underrated operating system and a great alternative to winblows 10.

NTLite integrates updates by their build date but the SSU, Servicing Stack Update always goes first in the list.
