I have looked extensively on line to facilitate changing a computer name randomly at startup. I know it is feasible (programmaticly of course), but it is it advisable.
Me to - in NTL Unattended Computer name (Shell options) have the option to change to %SERIAL% witch i'm not aware about how work.
But think what you're looking for as seen provided in my younger days rolling out in ie. a company.
%SERIAL% suggest that the computer name would be dependent on the S/N of your mother board. For me a randomly generated characters based on a random generator would ensure there is no exposed info about your hardware would be present in the computer name.
