Confused about the enabled/disabled state of "Features" and "Features on Demand"

I'm customizing the GamerOS preset and some features' "State" show as enabled even though they aren't checked, and vise versa.

For example, WordPad shows as Enabled under the "State" column, but it doesn't have a checkmark before it.

Any help making sense of this? Thanks.

If a preset unchecks an already enabled feature, it will be shown as pending disabling on the Apply page, after the Processing.
Then you can reload and confirm it was disabled.

I'm customizing from the ground up now but still the same is happening. When processing the ISO, it "skips" the features. Then once it has skipped all of them a dialogue box comes up and says "The parameter is incorrect" next to all of them.

What's the host version of Windows? Enabling/disabling W10 or 11 features requires the host to be W10 or 11.

Ohh ok. It's Windows 7.

I read about some stuff not working if your OS is lower than the ISO you are editing and what not.

I did try in a VM but it doesn't (and I don't want it to) have internet access. Also I didn't want to use another one of my licenses and send an email but I guess I'll have to.

Unless I can use this in a VM without internet access and somehow have it automatically work with my Windows 7 license?

This is literally what I do:
1. Run NTLite (free mode) in VM to integrate updates (after copying the downloaded files), add/remove features, and run DISM cleanup.
2. Save this ISO back to your W7 host.
3. With your licensed W7 NTLite, load the image and do the rest of processing. All other features are platform independent.

This doesn't require using an activation for the VM copy.
