Could not parse or process answer file

keep getting error could not parse or process answer file. what am i doing wrong? this is using vmware
 
Normally, this error is from using the wrong product key for this Windows edition -- or you've edited the preset/answer file manually and made a mistake.

not sure what i am doing wrong, i know product key is good and did not use preset file. just wanted to integrate updates and add key.
 
What Windows edition and are you using a generic key?
 
What happens when you don't include the key, and manually activate it later? Work your way, by eliminating suspects.
 
ok, plus i went into nlite install folder and deleted all the presets and updates it had in there. hope this helps
 
Updates or removals aren't causing this error. It's a mis-matched product key, or wrong unattended settings.
 
that worked now it is telling me i can not install 11 because system doesn't meet requirements. i even enabled TPM and encrypted . this is on vmware latest edition
 
BypassTPM and BypassRAM must be applied to boot.wim
Apply -> Reapply tasks across editions -> Configure - Settings -> boot.wim Windows Setup
 
question, i can not get into windows it keeps asking for password and account name. i tried my log on for my account i am on now but it would not take it. how do i do this??? did i remove something i shouldn't have? i left all the accounts stuff enable but it never asked me to setup account
 
Please attach your preset (after removing any user passwords or license keys).
 
finally got it figured out garlin. i now have working image that i can clean install without the TPM requirment. thanx for the help and thanx to nuhi for creating this.
