Customize a deployed Windows

Hello, I am currently using the Pro version, but I have some questions I’m curious about.

Can I customize an already deployed Windows installation? Is it possible to remove unnecessary features as effectively as when customizing an ISO?

If I want to customize a deployed Windows on my server or vm, how can I do it without losing the license?

I’m thinking of installing Windows and updating it, and then removing what’s unnecessary because the issue I’m facing right now is that the update path cannot be completed 100%

Best Regards

The licensed version of NTLite can remove or restore components from a live host's image. Removals are straight forward, but a restore requires finding a copy of the original clean ISO to find the missing components.

Licensing is based on the reported HW ID profile. Re-installing on the same physical server or VM instance doesn't use a new activation as long as the underlying HW has changed.

For a physical PC, this means any component like the motherboard or CPU, network card, boot drive, etc.
For a VM, you can't switch to a different VMDK or VHDX.

There should be no problem re-installing NTLite on a wiped system, as the activation server remembers the previously registered HW ID and won't subtract from your license count.
