Hi,

I have been using NTLite (Home license) for months to remove reinstall (after creating an image and installing it), but the last days it hung itself / blocked and I had to close it the hard way. Then now it gives me an error at start and I can't solve it neither use the program anymore. I have tried to uninstall it and clean any trace of it, reinstall, but the problems keep appearing, no change.

I have searched these forums, but -surprisingly- I have not found any similar case.

At start it gives me this message:
Error 1b.png
And in the app GUI I see this:
Error 2b.png

I can't unmount anything because I don't have the option, and if I delete the temp folder referred in the error, it does not help neither. I am completely blocked. Could someone please help me?

Thanks!

Do you have any registry entries in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WIMMount\Mounted ?
If so, delete them (before this, unloading the mounted image in NTLite)

Why want to mount updates (KB) ? What's the point (I have never done) ?

Thanks a lot! That worked!

In fact I don't recall to do that on purpose (I guess I did, lol). Likely trying things related to another, very very annoying, problem I have with that update (kb5062552): I simply can't install it, no matter what I try, from Windows settings or by offline update, it tries to install and at the end it stops with a failure, error 0x800f081f.

BTW, when I try to update it from NTLite, NTLite loads the current system up to 99%, then drops to 98% and NTLite shuts down itself without notice.

Tried sfc /scannow, DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth (no error reported)

I have the very same problem with another PC which uses the same NTLite W11Edu OS image I did for mine, so maybe it is something related to my build/image and this update, but I can't find what could it be! (all previous CU installed fine). This is driving me nuts...!

When you try to integrate the update into an image, do you get an error ?

Problems installing updates in Windows (WU or from the .msu file) are common
Clearing the update cache can sometimes help (Windows\SoftwareDistribution)

Thanks. Tried to clear the update cache but the problem persists. I'll try to create a simple image with the update tomorrow.
