Hello,

I want to modify a ISO so by default it comes like this after installing it:

1 - First with Windows firewall disabled, just like on the print screen below \/

2 - Second I want the windows to come "adjusted for best performance" just like in the print screen below \/

3 - Third, I want that the settings from the print screen below to come like this \/ for every power plan or to be able to come with one power plan pre-selected with these settings and lock it so no one can change the power plan.

Is it also possible to pin back by default file explorer to the taskbar on the LTSC version?

What is the best way to do these? Because I saw some forum posts about using registry keys to do this, other posts I saw using powercfg for the power plan settings etc. So I want to know what is the best\proper way of doing it.

Thank you!

All of those are in my Optimized Image guide (link). You don't have to use the guide, but if you download and unzip the attachment, then edit the registry files you can use the documentation inside to search for the tweaks you need and apply whatever you want to your own image.

Integrating tweaks into an image is the best method when possible, but sometimes Microsoft makes it difficult and some tweaks need to be applied in an alternative manner, such as post-setup. In your scenario, powercfg is just modifying a registry key, so it's more robust to integrate the key, rather than apply it post-setup which takes longer before it goes into effect.

I am using the LTSC version, is there a problem? Do I need to look out for anything since I am using the LTSC version?

Thank you, ill take a look at your thread.

None that I'm aware of. The only thing I've heard about that stands out on that edition and others like it, is some of them may not always have Microsoft Store or Xbox included, and that can cause some miscellaneous issues that people don't expect, such as for gaming or when it comes to downloading apps, but there's plenty of posts on this forum which address that stuff if you find yourself in that situation.

Nah, i am not using this ISO for gaming.

My company works with commercial automation, so we have PC's that will have only one task of running just one software so I choose the LTSC version since it's clean of crap like one drive, cortana or copilot, microsoft store and its apps and etc and also because iot ltsc will have support unitl 2035 if not mistaken.
