Disabling UAC

I disabled UAC, but some sources say this causes stability issues. Stability is very important to me; should I re-enable it?

I set UAC to always elevate admins without a prompt and it causes zero stability issues. In the past I disabled it entirely by moving the slider in the Settings to "never notify"and I never had any issues either.

What did you do? Use it for a while and see if you have any problems. Then you should be able to set it back in Settings, unless you removed some components entirely, that I am not aware of.

While not ideal, "Run all administrators in Admin Approval Mode" is the better alternative to disabling UAC entirely.

Some users will swear disabling UAC doesn't affect Windows, but it's known to cause problems with the Toolbar and some 3rd-party apps that expect UAC approval in order to run get confused when it doesn't happen.
