Don't have admin rights for HP Support Assistant (old) and file system error for new versions (all work on unedited on for old edit -spring)

Hi have problem run some app. for example "hp support assistant" old version write than i don't have admin right (even if i run as admin) new version write "file system failed" know it work on old edit it problem with integrated update? or new option? 2025-11-04-23-46-56-445.jpg2025-11-05-00-27-29-719.jpg

Will find the dependency, just not sure I'll have the time until Monday.
 
For the legacy assistant "HP Assistant sp114036.exe"
It's the Windows Help content, please just create the empty directory C:\Windows\Help\oem
That helps the Admin rights popup. Fix will be in the future versions.

For the newer "HP Assistant sp163238.exe", it denies to run on Windows 10 unedited, it states version unsupported.

Let me know if that helps.

Try it and let me know.
Could also be it denied running in a virtual machine with that generic message.
Also make sure not to remove parts of .NET Framework (Assembly cache should be fine).

When will be future version? and in new version will be creation of C:\Windows\Help\oem a solution for this issue?

Done, yes. You can also manually fix it on your existing OS instead of reinstalling.
 
Is not prove? this version? sp163238 ?. As you see i have working windows edit. but dont have settings... think is impossible extract settings from working system? do You not like picture (can be edited ) do you like video?

This topic is about HP Assistant dependency, which is fixed in the latest version of the tool or you can do it manually as described.

As for extracting settings from already installed Windows, if you lost the preset and ISO (ISO can have auto-saved xml in the root):
Load C:\Windows and toolbar - Preset - Save As - Extract current state.

OK, thanks, but that is just an initial popup before it extracts and starts installing.

Now is 50% solved on support assistant BUT is not solved on programs what i have license and i cant give to You for test,. can give You only "HP support assistant" as is easy. should i search internet for program what not work same way as "HP support assistance " and is free to download....

And what do you use HP Support Assistant for? I also have an HP, but I've never used this program. It's much better to install updates manually or through HP's support website.

As i wrote is example of not working program. 99% problem is because of update integration.

I'm confused, what's the 50% not working? Please be specific, what do I need to run after applying your preset?

is not sowed because of programs i have license do not work. and for my is issue. As i say it work on clean windows. it work on edited one with privacy setting. I test gaming soon. as You see update giving this. hope is right settings. 1762978127152.png

Thanks, but that's another topic, will check and report back by Monday, you can ignore the message for now.
Most probably Appx integration was tried on WinPE image or something like that, just needs to be silently skipped by the program.
