Error: "We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one"

Making use of a new ISO image to install Windows 10 v21h1, I excluded the drive formatting option so that I can select the current OS drive and keep my Windows.old directory, and I am receiving this error...
"We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one. for more information, see the setup log files."
 
Setup is confused because your disk has two System partitions.

Open diskmgmt.msc and confirm if the last partition is marked "Healthy (System, Active)" or "Healthy (System)". If you're not using it as a drive letter AND it's not marked Active, then remove it. Double check before making changes.

You can't recover the missing 260 MB w/o using PartitionMagic (or another tool) to move Recovery over, and expand Primary.
