Error when creating new ISO with Updated Secure Boot Certs

Btw it's not about Secure Boot.
Must be hardware drivers then, main difference from a VM.
If you integrate some drivers, try without them.

Oh it was way worse than that...

Issue: Windows 25H2 Setup hangs with an endless "Please Wait" screen on the ASUS Prime Z790-A motherboard.

Root Cause: A conflict between the new generic Intel I226-V ethernet driver embedded in the 25H2 media and the motherboard's network adapter initialization, triggers background network polling introduced in the updated Windows 25H2 OOBE layer

Resolution: Disabling the LAN Controller in the UEFI BIOS removes the device from the initial Windows hardware scan, preventing the faulty driver from loading and allowing Setup to safely proceed offline

Took me about 10m hours to figure this out...

Interesting, thanks for sharing.
In that case try the opposite, keep the device on and integrate the latest drivers from Intel:

Yes it is.

Appears things have changed quite a bit since the last time I had any flavour of Win 11 on this specific board.

Back when I first purchased it in mid-Dec 2023 - the current Windows 11 version I used at the time (but ultimately removed because it was not stable enough for this machines purpose) was 23H2 - but I cannot recall having any LAN issues during Setup of 23H2 at that time - as I always leave the LAN controller ON in the BIOS.

But here in 2026 - it appears that with all the updates to the OOBE in 25H2 - the "in-box" Intel driver for this specific motherboard - is a no go.

I will need to "bake" in my ASUS specific drivers for the controller for the next NT Lite ISO I build.
