Errors integrating November CU into Win 11 25H2

Hi, this is the first time I have had this issue when integrating updates into a clean Microsoft ISO, I have tried several times but keep getting the same error. I am trying to integrate KB5068861, the prereq (KB5043080) integrates fine but I get these errors:

If I open the updates cache folder, "windows11.0-kb5068861-x64_acc4fe9c928835c0d44cdc0419d1867dbd2b62b2" is present. Any ideas how to fix? This CU is huge so installing it post-OS install is too time consuming.

Thanks

Errors:
Error 0xD0000043 '[67] The network name cannot be found.': DISM Clean update backup
Integrating: KB5068861 - Cumulative Update (requires KB5043080) 26100.7171.1.16 -> Windows 11 Professional 25H2 x64 - 10.0.26200.6584 (en-GB) - Error 0xd0000043 - [67] The network name cannot be found.
Integrating: KB5066128 - .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 Cumulative Update 10.0.9321.3 -> Windows 11 Professional 25H2 x64 - 10.0.26200.6584 (en-GB) - Error 0x800f0801 - [2049]

Hi,

that doesn't look normal, and they all share that misterious "The network name cannot be found" error.
Please repeat it by unloading all mounted images, rebooting and deleting the image edits.
Then recopy new edit from the original ISO, load and repeat, but only for 2 cumulative updates (KB5043080 and KB5068861) to simplify the logs.
If the same happens, at that moment please attach %temp%\ntlite.log and ntlite_dism.log

I retested it now, all good.

Thank you.

I unloaded everything and deleted the update and image cache, updated the host using windows updates, rebooted and mounted the ISO again. I only selected those two Windows updates and repeated my build, I had this error:

Even after compressing the logs are too large to attach so I uploaded to Sendspace:

Separate question, but I have noticed that since 25H2 even if I enable the option to select Windows edition in the unattended section, on most devices the edition menu is missing when installing Windows. Some devices do show the menu though, do you know why this is? I will revert to my old method of manually adding ei.cfg to the Sources folder in the ntlite cache for now.

Download and try with a new (unmodified) ISO,
And depending on the ISO version, there's no need to integrate KB5043080

This was a clean download from Microsoft, 25H2. I will try to download it again and not integrate KB5043080 - it was preselected when I went to the updates menu.

Uncheck that and just integrated the November update.
After ISO 26100.1742, there's no longer any need to integrate the checkpoint.

I downloaded the ISO again, deselected KB5043080 in the online updates, enabled DISM (Compatible) - previously was set to None. This time the image completed ok so looks like maybe the checkpoint, thanks for the tip.

You're welcome.
To see with nuhi to prevent the checkpoint from being automatically selected when NTLite detects build 26100.1742+

Checkpoint is not pre-selected if installed.
Most likely was the ISO then. Do correct me if proven otherwise on both accounts.
Thanks.

The host may not have had the checkpoint installed as it’s a VM that is only span up when I need to create an image (so is on an older build) but both ISOs were identical 25H2 ones. The checkpoint was preselected this time too, I had to deselect it myself.

yo do know that running NTLITE inside a VM is orders of magnitude slower than running it on a real system, right?

I didn't but I am not usually in a hurry and my host machine is locked down so I can't quickly disable Defender real-time scanning like I can in a VM.
