Hello everyone,

today I formated my PC with the gamerOS once again and just found out that I can't access my HDD. I can see the HDD under computer Management but not in the explorer under pc ( If thst is the right word in English, my os is German.)

Installing a fresh windows 10 iso doesn't give me such issues. I can use the HDD.

Does someone had the same issues ? Before that I had other presets with no such problems.

I can post later some screenshots, right now im not at home.

Ty for all the help.

here are the screenshots, im gonna formate my pc in a moment again to a diffrent preset

After installing the lite preset and no other changes I get the same issue, HDD shows under management but not under explorer, can't access the HDD. Very weird..

NTLite's built-in presets are ancient, and in my opinion should never be used. They should either be significantly changed or removed altogether. A user should be able to reliably use them without breaking basic functionality.

Yeah but it was just a test to compare gamerOS , both have the same issues for me

GamerOS preset removes the Storage Spaces component.

Open your preset file in Notepad, and remove this line:
Code:
                <c>storagespaces 'Storage Spaces'</c>

This actually worked ty! is there a reason why this setting is added in gamerOS or gamer preset? What is the benefit?

None. The preset's dev didn't use a number of different Windows features, so he removed anything that he didn't care about. This included features like Bluetooth, MS Store, etc.

Most users don't play around with Storage Spaces or dynamic disk volumes, so they don't see something's broken. You're the first one to notice.

Das einzige Problem ist, daß die "große" Festplatte (Partition) keinen Laufwerkbuchstaben erhalten hat. Den kannst Du manuell in der Datenträgerverwaltung hinzufügen.

“The only problem is that the ‘large’ hard drive (partition) did not get a drive letter. You can add one manually in Disk Management.”

That wasn't an option, as it was greyed out. The drive itself is working on any other iso without removing the storage option that garlin pointed out.
