GamerOS Windows 10 & 11 DIY Preset

Hello all,

I was directed to this thread from https://www.ntlite.com/community/index.php?threads/remote-desktop-requirements.3332/#post-36910 ; I'd like to be able to RDP/remote desktop into my GamerOS-applied machine. I've enabled remote desktop in windows settings, confirmed the services are running, confirmed the exception is active in windows firewall, but it seems no matter what I do I can't connect to this machine by RDP, as if it never responds.

Open the GamerOS XML in Notepad, and remove the lines:
Code:
                <c>rdpserver 'Remote Desktop Server'</c>
                <c>rdpserverlic 'Remote Desktop Licensing'</c>
                <c>remotefx</c>
<c>remoteportredirector 'Remote Desktop Services Port Redirector'</c>

There might be more components, but I don't personally run GamerOS since it's too lean for me. Let me know if that works, or we're missing a few leftovers.

Same too lean but found a few goodies in it and edited it to my liking. Now that I have my own removal build, I won't need another till I get a new computer( unfortunately I love this old machine so much lol)

this is probably a stupid question.. but for the gameros post setup ps1 can i manually run it? or do i need to run it in ntlite etc or another program. just wanna make sure im not doing wrong things

The PS script is a standalone tool. It can be run separately on any PC, regardless of NTLite.
Keep in mind, there's no undo feature -- so if the changes don't work the way you like, you must re-install from ISO.

Instale o Windows normalmente
Atualizar drivers do sistema
Conectar à Ethernet
Jogar jogos

How do I use this script?
Hey guys so after some input, and some thought of what I want to put out, this is what Ive been doing so far

Its a windows thats fully customizable afterwards, the stuff that one isnt able to rip out thru dism, ive removed and left everything behind functioning

to customize you require the powershell script, and then choose what you want from the lists, disable with a # the stuff you dont want to happen
(you only need the powershell script after, and its designed so you can experiment with whats the best configuration for you}

stuff to note is that Im just taking tweaks from elsewhere and compiling them into one iso, with gaming purpose in mind

it would be nice to see what you guys think, about the iso and in which direction, i should take it, as Ive got an idea in my head of how i want the thing to operate, and look upon install but lack knowledge and still have much to learn, Im just a dude over here clicking buttons, trying to gauge
if anything has changed and is it postive or negative, on average I strip an iso and gain at least 5% fps and thats just removing stuff from the iso

and because of fear monger's I have gone ahead and left defender (fully working} and windows updates (fully working), thanks chris for making me think about things and kinda see where your guys heads are at with custom iso's, but I assure you that any stripped iso is far more secure then an iso from microsoft, if its not there and or broken it cant be exploited, thats a pretty easy concept to wrap ones head around, but I understand the fear when it comes to changes that they have made other then ripping stuff out, thats why the powershell is included, so you can choose what to
do to the os

this is not a new gamerOS, its just a version of it for those people who want a default looking os, please let me know what you think, ive pretty much got my gamerOS formula road all set, its just ive got no direction, and when one idea doesnt work with another idea ive got to go back and change stuff, if i could get some help on making powershell scripts that would be amazing but alas I know no one

Ive been working on buttons for my powershell script, but im thinking checkboxes would be better, and then a run script button, but alas my ocd doesnt live up to my skill, so i will take time and learn more

You add the script to Post-Setup (User), or run it by hand (as Administrator):
Code:
powershell -nop -ep bypass -f 'GamerOS PostSetup.ps1'

Those functions exist, but are disabled by default. It might change in the future.

I see. I basically want a stripped down, debloated, streamlined Win 10 for some light gaming, web browsing and other things. Is there a set of templates/reg tweaks on here that would help with that?

GamerOS is the same for both W10 & 11. If you find a specific W11 difference that needs support, share it with everyone.

Hey what is the Latest version of GamerOS 11 ? pls
read through the topic in its entirety and you will find it. please use common sense by looking through the topics before asking something that can be answered by looking.

Mình muốn có bàn phím telex tiếng Việt thì phải chỉnh sửa gì trong file .xml của bạn, cảm ơn nhiều

everything is fine, the only thing i need is the keyboard for text input Vietnam Telex, thank you very much, please tell me how to fix it, because after installing windows i don't see any telex keyboard adjustment in settings

Right now, there's no simple method to add Vietnamese language files to the install ISO :(. You have to add vi-VN support after installation.

MS doesn't release every region's language files for downloading.

You should reply on one of the winget threads, instead of here (GamerOS). Different working solutions have been posted.
It depends on what problem you're solving, will winget need to install software before you logon or later?

Did you read my request? Please move this question to one of the winget posts.

winget is entirely separate from GamerOS, and this long gaming thread doesn't need more off-topic questions if another answer exists on the forum. At 42 pages and growing, many new NTLiter's aren't even reading GamerOS Q&A's because it's too long to read.
