GamerOS Windows 10 & 11 DIY Preset

No, I just answer questions around here. I don't even own a gaming PC. My laptop only has NVIDIA 860M graphics.

I kind of wished these presets were made or revised by you......I wanted to compare a preset made by a veteran to my own preset to see where I might've gone overboard

I have been debating making one but won't be for a bit yet since I have been busy with other things at the moment

If you do it be prepared to support it and be bombarded with pm's pleading for help.
Its going to be a build with warnings and stipulations. I am not looking for a ton of questions to answer if someone has not been versed with knowing what Ntlite does

That's not it ;)
Nuhi (weird to call him that) and I set up this (finally nuhi added it to NTL, of course) so I know what it's
And they won't go away until the ISO used has the integrated CU with these new component

Yeah, end of off topic
That is correct, "Placeholder for potential updates".
Will make it a bit more clear so it's intuitive, wasn't aware it wasn't obvious.

Thanks.

Just posted, updated GamerOS presets for W10 22H2, W11 23H2, and W11 24H2 (preliminary).
GamerOS Windows 10 & 11 Preset (Locked)
Ah, that's a wonderful consolidation of information, thanks. I'm doing some catchup after a busy summer and I was looking to see if there were any changes to the presets I learned from before committing to my own. I was initially surprised to see what happened to this thread, hope the user is doing okay.

In any case, I too would like to see some presets updated to the more recent Windows versions. I still use Windows 10 on certain PCs for performance reasons. And Windows 11 keeps adding AI bloat that I keep having to find new keys for. Blegh.

With the help of the peeps from this forum and other sources, I have managed to cobble together a decent set of registry changes and presets, but I feel like the knowledge of someone more intimately familiar with the OS could go a long way.

I agree that dealing with support and Q/A is a pain and hopefully disclaimers plus an "as-is" notice is enough to clue people in that they are responsible for what they do.

Gamer os should only be as a add-on after people get the hang of things with Ntlite. I had my build and then added it to see if I missed anything important. A lot I reset but I found a few nuggets here and there that I kept.

Looks like you are on the right track figuring out stuff first then trying other stuff out

Hey Garlin,

When booting the pc is lagging badly and all i get this in task manager

Defender isn't removed in the preset, that's always been the case. Some users don't have a 3rd-party AV.

Since you're re-installing a new system, can you try the "W10 Final" preset for comparison? No services or tweaks were changed in the update. The major differences are removals of rarely used components.

Can i use w10 final and the list of stuff u added in your locked thread?

Ps: i had no issue with w10 final before

The major differences btw Txmmy's preset and 23H2 is extra removals. I'm thinking it's SuperFetch being removed.
Are you booting from a SSD or a normal HDD?
