Hello everyone, please help me with updating the host. I have a stripped-down version of Windows on my PC, which of course does not have the update function. Please advise which components or functions cannot be deleted when installing on the host in order to later update via NTLite, and which components and functions cannot be deleted when updating the host via NTlite. Thank you in advance, and I apologize for my English, I don't know it, I am writing through a translator.

Those components are behind the Windows Setup - Host Refresh compatibility option (Components page - toolbar Compatibility).
You can disable other compatibilities as you wish and remove what it allows.

If you meant to update without Host Refresh, but direct MSU install, then also check Windows Update.
You can remove the Windows Update itself, and use NTLite - Tools - Install Updates for example, or load C:\Windows as the target when using the Updates page.

The thing is, that's what I did. I used the host update wizard, downloaded a clean Windows build from the official website, applied my edit file, added updates to the new build, and enabled updates + host in the compatibility tab. And when everything was ready, i.e., the updates were installed in the new build, the components were cut out, it launched setup.exe, started the installation, and immediately shut down with the message “Windows 10 not install.”

Depends what the error is, sometimes Windows upgrades can fail due to installed apps or drivers.

I noticed a mounted ISO file was cause of many such issues, so make sure none is mounted in explorer (right-click eject).

Second is the Windows 10 itself, have you tried if full image progresses with the upgrade a bit further?
You can always cancel it, so don't worry.

If you see that full ISO works, but lite doesn't, please send me your preset for testing, I'll find the bits.

windows10.v11.19045.3803 is the build configuration file that I currently have on my host.

windows10.v11.19045.5917 is the build configuration file that I am updating using the host update wizard.

Also, when mounting the build that I am going to update, I get an error, which is shown in the NTLite.log and NTLite.dmp files.

I forgot, I tried to update my collection to a completely new one from the official website without any changes, but for some reason it installed as a second system, even though everything was done through the host update wizard.

Excuse me, please. Can you help me? I don't want to bother you too much, but I really don't know how to solve this.
