How to apply changes?

The changes that I make to my object Windows 10 image do not seem to apply. I find myself in a loop, wherein my changes reset to the original state.

My steps:

1. I open NTLite and in the Image list, in the edit cache under Operating systems is an install.win with Windows 10.
2. I choose this Windows 10 and Load.
3. Now I have options on the lefthand side of my NTLite window.
4. I choose Components and I see a certain set of components (let's call them Component Set A).
5. Under the Drivers section, I deselect some components. (This results in a new set of remaining components, Component Set B).
6. I go to Apply (where it says, in the righthand tree Remove - Components (59)).
7. I choose Process (again, in this tree, it says Remove - Components (59)).
8. The process completes.
9. Back to the Image list (as in 1. above; here a loop begins).
10. In the edit cache under Operating systems it has the same install.wim with the same size as before. (The time under Last change is just a moment ago, the time when I had tried to apply my changes, the removal of some components; yet no changes have been applied).
11. I choose this Windows 10 and Load.
12. Now I have options on the lefthand side of my NTLite window. I choose Components and I see a certain set of components (it is not Component Set B, but instead it is Component Set A).

My changes, which I had tried to make in step 5, have had no effect.

How can I get my removal of components to apply, and break this loop?
