Hi,

I am confused about windows 10 Iso. If I want to get windows 10 iso recent build ( not 19045.2965 from 2023) How can I download it ?

Alternatively, What should I do with ntlite to create an up to date (or almost upto date) windows 10 ISO ?

PS: I used to slipstream windows KB with Windows 7 back in the days.

There are two methods (same for W11), depending on your preference.

1. Download the official W10 22H2 ISO (May 2023). If you have a licensed copy of NTLite, use the Updates Downloader to download this month's set of updates. Free edition users can manually download the same updates from Microsoft Update Catalog. and save to a folder.

Apply the updates to create a base image (like when you slipstreamed W7, but with less KB's to find).

2. Use UUP dump and search for a newer 19045 build. UUP dump will create a customized download script for you, which first downloads the base UUP packages for the Windows release, and then finds the right set of KB updates to bring that image up to the build version. Their script will integrate the pending KB's and create a finalized ISO.

Functionally it's the same result, but you can't certify it was built from an official MS ISO. This may be unacceptable to businesses or organizations with a strict IT policy, but fine for your personal use.

Thanks for your help.

If I use the uup dump method, should I check the include updates box in the conversions options ?

PS: this not for IT, but rather personnal and family use.

UUP dump will download the required KB updates, but you can choose whether the script does the integration step or leaves the files unused.

Having the script perform this task is no different from using NTLite or another DISM-based tool. The only reason for not choosing the integrate option is if you're trying to save a "clean" base ISO, and re-use it again with a different set of updates. But everyone just picks "go ahead".

Last question, I have a ntlite licence. So I will try with nlite.

Should it be simple to build 19045.4593 ? This is not the latest version, this from June 13 before they added Copilot.

Or should I use the latest and remove Copilot (not wanted ) ?

You should download the latest W10 CU (on Aug. 13 because it's Patch Tuesday), and remove or disable the Copilot components..

When you load the original image, what is the Windows build reported on the bottom of the NTLite screen?

Update, I try with windows home image, and it work better 2 of out 3 did work. But the dot.net update failed.

Hopefully, someone will help me.
