So you're really trying to get W7 running on newer HW? That's more challenging, since you have to track down the right drivers. I would search Win-RAID forum and look for canonkong's W7 driver threads.

Yes i bought a refurbed Lenovo ThinkStation P300 and want to install Win7.
My daily is a Lenovo H430.
Win7 also never installed on the H430. (Had to first install XP Pro that i modified back in the day with NLite and then upgrade to Win7)
I managed to download all the drivers from Lenovo's website fortunately but it was a lot of work downloading, extracting and sorting 32bit and 64bit.
I hope i can make a version that will install on the P300 and H430.

Damn I can't believe it!
It works
The new SSD was faulty.
Today i got really cross and fedup and installed another SSD and it all worked without anny errors/issues during installation.
I am so freaking glad.
