It's deleting the contents of my start/programs folder

I loaded win10 from media creation a few years back on to my USB flash drive and so loaded the contents into a folder on my desktop installed
NTLite free and started tinkering. A day later my start/programs folder is empty.

Thought it was my fault so I did a restore and all is back to normal.

Yesterday I updated NTLite to the latest and tried again but this time I closed my live install so I couldn't inadvertently mess with it, but the same
thing happened again.

Also I can uncheck any upper Component but I can't uncheck any sub directory Component.

So what am I doing wrong or is it something other than myself?

Are you trying to do a live removal?
Where is located the Temp folder?

I don't really catch you.
 
The Win 10 is an installer I was trying to work on it in my win 7 PC.
