addbrokerplugin
addsuggestedfolderstolibrarydialog
appresolverux
asynchtextservice
capturepicker
cbspreview
creddialoghost
ecapp
ppiprojection
printdialog
win32webviewhost
xboxgamecallableui
xgpuejectdialog

also on apps part
advertising.xaml
vp9videoextensions
xbox.tcui

bug: host refresh doesnt work! it doesnt kickstart setup.exe and when i start it from temp folder, it installs full iso!!
it kickstarted setup.exe only 1 time and it was full installation too.

older version of ntlite always starts setup.exe but it also install full iso not the preset's pref.

App descriptions are long time in the planning, the list is listed automatically what Windows image contains, that is why no description from the start.

Host refresh not starting setup.exe. Can you explain how to see that, what do I click?
Did you preserve Host Refresh/Manual Setup compatibility when removing components from the host?
Try removing/renaming .\autounattend.xml file next to setup.exe, if any.

Regarding the Host Refresh, I just saw the same thing.

Just start setup.exe manually after that happens, and make sure to answer Keep Files and settings.

Will fix, thanks!

Here's a quick rundown of what I tracked down or just plain guessed at for most of the stuff you asked about. I'd be shocked if I was anywhere close to 100% correct but here we go anyway!

AAD.BrokerPlugin | Azure Active Directory AppX Broker Plugin, eg Microsoft's cloud service mostly used in business environments
AccountsControl | Seems to be involved in linking accounts, email addresses and phone sync
AddSuggestedFoldersToLibraryDialog | Fairly self explanatory
AppResolverUX | Seems to be a user interface asking how you want to opening things, similar to OpenWith.exe perhaps but an AppX build.
AssignedAccessLockApp | Most likely an AppX companion for Remoting and Privacy > Assigned Access
AsyncTextService | I would guess this is used in 'texting'. Seems to use location, maps & people
BioEnrollment | Hello setup UI eg facial recognition and other bio-metric logins
CapturePicker | Seems to be involved in helping users choose what to share, eg specific program windows or an entire screen.
CBSPreview | Camera Barcode Scanner (PoS)
CloudExperienceHost | Used in a variety of contexts, seems to be a generic AppX used for 'WebApps' These can be anything from being account related (eg LiveID, MS accounts, enterprise logins) to phones, windows hello, device management, targeted content
ContentDeliveryManager | Windows Spotlite, eg Tailored Experiences using Diagnostic Data, your account, a linked phone, Windows tips, suggestions
Cortana | Cortana, the annoying talking 'helper' currently integrated with search
CredDialogHost | A generic AppX UI that could be used in a variety of contexts, from the XBoxApp to Phones but currently only seems to be involved in Enterprise Authentication?
ECApp | "Eye Control" UI via camera, also seems to handle speech
EdgeDevToolsClient | An extension to edge containing tools for web developers eg a debugger, emulator and more
Edge | The AppX browser shipped with Windows 10
File Explorer | A (currently) less useful Appx version of explorer
FilePicker | Seems to be a generic AppX version of the 'open/save as' dialogs that could be used in a variety of contexts, eg as part of other apps?
HolographicFirstRun | "Get Started" for Mixed Reality
immersivecontrolpanel | The AppX Control Panel eg "Settings"
InputApp | AppX interface for Text input eg handwriting, touchscreens
LockApp | Seems to be an AppX interface for Lock Screen 'extras' like cortana, feedback, now playing, suggestions, etc
OOBENetworkCaptivePortal | part of Windows Setup 'helper' UI to guide the user through setting up network connections, eg helps noobs enter wifi passwords etc
OOBENetworkConnectionFlow | part of Windows Setup 'helper' UI to guide the user through setting up network connections, eg helps noobs enter wifi passwords etc
ParentalControls | Fairly self explanatory, AppX used in "Family" settings eg child/parent accounts and/or timed control
PeopleExperienceHost | Fairly self explanatory, AppX Contacts/People bar
PinningConfirmationDialog | AppX used after installing an app, eg Do you want to pin (AppName) to the taskbar?
PPIProjection | Perceptive Pixel Interface Projection, would seem to require specific multi-touch hardware still in development?
PrintDialog | A generic AppX UI usable by a variety of applications. eg if you might need to print from any Windows Store App, keep it!
SecureAssessmentBrowser | Seems to be a generic AppX 'Browser' usable for test taking. eg online courses
ShellExperienceHost | AppX components of Explorer, eg start menu and taskbar context menu among others
SmartScreen | AppX component that uses the cloud to check apps, sites etc. Also required for the DesktopAppInstaller to function properly.
Win32WebviewHost | A generic AppX interface for regular apps that want to make use of it to throw stuff from the web onto various sections of the desktop including notifications, mixer and likely more. I'd think of it a bit as ContentDeliveryManager for regular applications
Windows Defender | Fairly self explanatory, part of the built in Anti-Malware
XboxGameCallableUI | Seems to be a generic AppX UI usable by a variety of xbox related games. eg part of the core xbox UI

xgpuejectdialog | Appx used for safely 'ejecting' external video card devices. akin to safely remove for usb drives but for external gpus

Advertising.Xaml | Generic AppX usable by a variety of apps to aid in selected advertising. Unfortunately some apps & games rely on this as a dependancy
DesktopAppInstaller | An AppX UI used to aid the user in installing other .AppX or .AppXBundle files without requiring the use of powershell commands
vp9videoextenstions | Generic AppX comonent to allow the use of an open source video codec, VP9, developed as part of the WebM Project by Google. May be required as a dependency by certain apps down the line.
Xbox.TCUI | Seems to be part of the Xbox UI though I am unsure why it is separate from XboxGameCallableUI

I removed all of those except Cortana, Microsoft Edge, InputApp, VCLibs.140.00, NET.Native.Framework.1.6, NET.Native.Framework.1.7, NET.Native.Runtime.1.6, NET.Native.Runtime.1.7 and PrintDialog (and the ones which can only be removed in live mode, so what problems might I have? Will I be able to manually install apps that weren't downloaded from the Store without using PowerShell commands (it looks like it doesn't work in my case) and after removing DesktopAppInstaller and Store apps (again, it looks like the latter was removed against my will)? Will I be able to enter Wi-Fi passwords on the OOBE without those OOBE apps? And will I be able to run things without AppResolverUX and Advertising.Xaml (although I don't want advertises)?

nuhi, thanks for the solution but i already tried this. the problem is: it installs full iso

(I even saw ntlite changed the size of files at the folder - and i saw that ntlite deleted components etc on ntlite's interface.)
I run the setup.exe in temp folder but after refresh all the modern apps were installed on system.
(and i did deleted them all and i saw them, they were deleted on ntlite's process screen)
so i cant use host refresh with your method

please recheck manually starting setup.exe method. it installs as unmodified vanilla iso. (previous and current ntlite does the same)
es the same)

First off don't take that list as fact. It's just what I came up with when investigating them myself. Quite a bit of guessing was going on there. The CredDialogHost one in particular is likely incorrect by this point and may be required for the xbox app or any other credential dialog inside an AppX but if so (I don't use XBox Games) I haven't yet come across it.

As for manually installing apps from the .AppX or .AppXBundles manually without using powershell or instead downloading them through the Windows Store if the DesktopAppInstaller is removed ~ I do not see how. To my knowledge there are only 3 supported methods for installing AppXs at the moment. The Windows Store, the DesktopAppInstaller and Powershell.

Those OOBE network ones are only used in the Setup phase, eg that big blue screen that asks a ton of questions after you first set up the os. It isn't needed for the standard Wi-Fi dialogs so far as I know so you should be good there.

I've removed AppResolverUX and still get the OpenWith prompts but then again I don't install any Windows Store AppX designed to handle files or internet protocols so I can't say with any certainty one way or the other.

The advertising one is entirely up to the developer of the app/game. I suspect many (most?) will work without it and hopefully even if they are including ads in their App they will be using a custom method instead of relying on that one but you can never know until you (try to) install it! Each is different...

Thanks! I didn't take it as a fact nor was I guessing. I was just making questions according to what you typed. I don't know if it has something to do with the AppResolverUX removal but sometimes after trying to run some things there are no programs available to do it.

ege, There are people(elsewhere) who do not approve of and take the mickey out of liting(chopping). Its a bit of a dark art but if you dont attack windows like a starving piranha, you test very carefully and in stages you will end up with a nice stable install and the naysayers can jolly well naff off. Just going, using onne of my lite presets combined with custom services and tweaking i have always been very happy with my images from xp onwards. :) Who gives a FF what others think. :P

Kasual
The exe within the actual folder is named "CameraBarcodeScannerPreview.exe" It'd be rather odd to have a news program integrated as a SYSTEM app, eh?

thank you for help again, much obliged!

nuhi as i mentioned setup.exe installs full iso :(

When I tried yesterday Host Refresh, it got stuck the moment it needed to start setup, but it was after saving changes to the image.
Starting setup manually installed it as expected.
Now the difference might be I'm not using the temp folder, and also I might have fixed this.
So I'll send you the potential fix in a PM, and if you see it behave the same, try without the Copy to Temp folder option, should work with the manual setup method.

Also since you already installed the full Windows, just remove it directly from c:\windows, no point in host refreshing unless you want it a bit cleaner.

Btw lite -> full -> host refresh to lite might bring issues, so if you see any, be prepared for a clean reinstall.

Do you know what controls the
(tip and tricks & did you like what you see question) ON lockscreen?

because at lockscreen i am running spotlight but there are no tip and tricks or did you like what you see question... :/
