Since a few days ago OOBE is offering the option "Skip Updates" in OOBE. Tested with MCT-Images (which are not up-to-date) i can choose "Skip", with an fresh image (up-to-date) from UUP or ADGUARD it skips automaticly cause there is no update. My question is. How to skip updates in OOBE on older images (like MCT) to boost the install (and update later in running Windows)? Will NTlite offer an option?

No, that's a new feature rolled out in the latest Monthly Update. Users frequently complained about mandatory OOBE updates, and Pavlan (Windows EVP) said he heard the feedback loud and clear.

There are several known hacks for older Windows releases.
1. Disable cloud content (but this applies to everything include Spotlight images).

2. Disable NCSI active probing (which tricks Windows into thinking there is no network access to MS).

3. Block a specific Windows endpoint in the HOSTS file. This one is probably the least disruptive.

THX for your reply. To my surprise i found out that OOBE-updates are skipped when i configure an offline-user via autounattend.xml.
