Hi Guys,

I'm new to NTLite. I decided to look into it because I want to load Win 7 on my new Ryzen 7 based computer system when I'm finished building it. I'm NOT a fan of Win 10 in the slightest. I've read that there are issues with USB support during install for these systems and that one of the ways around it is with an unattended install. Hence my interest in NTLite.

I'm seeing some things when I load an ISO that don't make sense to me. I'm using a Win 7 Pro SP1 64 Bit ISO. After I select the directory and the ISO loads I see a tree structure under the folder showing the names of every version of Windows 7 from Starter to Ultimate. I'm given the option to load any one of these. Does this mean that my ISO is an all in one? Can I generate ISOs for any of the versions displayed and create an unattended install based on the ISO I create? Your clarification on this issue would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Yes.
After you have loaded any image, remove (uncheck) "Edition configuration file (EI.cfg)" in Components page and whenever you build your ISO and at the first setup stage it will ask to select a Windows Edition, if you enable unattended and want to keep the option to select one of the edition, at the unattended page check the box for "Dual architecture", doesn't matter if you're working with x64 only, this option will make the setup ask to select the edition of your choice and keep everything else (configured) unattended.

Thank you for your reply. Since I will likely have no keyboard or mouse support during setup on the new machine I will not be able to make a selection during the install. Can I for instance load Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit then create a separate ISO for that version. After creating that ISO load it and use it as the basis for my unattended install? Additionally, I do not see any Edition Configuration on the components page. Which tab is this option located under?

You can have all editions in the ISO if you prefer and use the unattended to install the edition you want.

The "Edition configuration" component is under the ISO image.
