I am very new to get into light and even newer to forums.
Does anyone have downloadable copies of the 4 different preset templates, so that I can download them and look over them before I get started.

Thanks to everyone who reads this although I don't know how I would find it if you did post it

When you save your current work to a preset (XML file), it can be reloaded on a clean image.

For best results, the source image should match the same version you edited. But if it doesn’t match, NTLite will try to save what changes it can copy over. You can have many different preset files.

NTLite has some example templates, which can be used to load default edits.

On this forum, you cannot share ISO’s — but presets are OK.
This seem like the best way to get in touch with you directly I'm looking for the 4 presets that comes with NTLite, I recently purchased the program and would like to examine the presets before I even get started. Is there anywhere I can download those

To review which changes each template will make, you can do this process for each template:

1. Load any Windows image.

2. From the Components toolbar, select one of the default templates (Privacy, Gaming, Lite). This applies a set of component removals to the current image. Each template is a superset of the previous template.

  • Gaming contains all the removals from Privacy.
  • Lite contains all the removals from Gaming.
  • Not recommended is not for actual use, but for teaching you which missing components are critical to Windows.
3. Switch to the Apply screen. You can expand the right side's tree view to see the exact list of removals.

4. From the Image screen, you can Preset / Save As this preset to disk. Open the XML file using NotePad. Preset files are normally saved under "\Program Files\NTLite\Presets".

5. If would like to view another template, Preset / New will clear the current session of the unapplied changes. Select the next template from the Components toolbar. You are always free to make other changes, like restoring some components or removing more.
