1. When I install NTLite in 8.1 it does not start, high processor usage, but not start ! I see no reason for that !
Is there a solution ??

2. Before I tried to use NTLite in Win 7 for Win 7. No problem.
Then I tried to make an new iso with NTLite for Win 8.1 with running Win 7. Using a dvd and an update pack.
But this did not work, finishes with faults by 63%. Not possible.
Is that really not possible to use NTLite for another system running on a different system ?? Why ??
I did not use C:\windows of the running system for that !
Fault in my thinking ?? I dont know !

Hi,

1. please attach or paste the %temp%\ntlite.log at the moment of the issue.

2. that's not something I noticed being reported at all. Could it be the image is corrupted or your machine is unstable?
Either way, please again same as in #1.

Thanks for reporting, no it's not normal, let's figure out the causes.

Ok, I look for it. Now I tried to install NTLite x64 to Win 10, but it is blocked by UAC.

Log in Win 7 says: Image was damaged by an offline maintenance and no further service is allowed !

Log is in German !

It is curious: For Win 7 it works within, but not for e.g. 8.1,
in 8.1. it does not start,
and in Win 10 it is blocked by UAC.

Evil ! I have to look for the devil to kill inside ! :)

It is not consistent, that NTL works with Win 7, iso and update pack from winfuture, germany, but not with iso of Win 8.1 and according update pack. What can be: image is damaged by an offline maintenance / service at 50 or 60% ??

In 10 it is now installed by full admin account. At first version 1.50, then newest version.
But after start PC hangs up.

So this tool seems to have some problems really !

In 8.1 PC also hangs up.

In my both Win 7 system (double boot) now at both system start menu are defect and desktop icons lacking because of authority and sfc found faults not existing before !

Both after trying to use NTL to update Win 8.1 with pack but faults and stopping after about 60%.

I did not make other changes, installations or sth else !

Is it really true that it is possible to upgrade one system to create an iso on another ??

I guess not !
when I see what happened !

Only lucky to have some backups to make a restore ! Else system is defect by use or try of NTL !!

SurgeonX1, if you see those servicing corruptions, it can be a bad update, bad sequence of updates.
Either way, please attach the preset demonstrating an issue. Make sure that preset is having the same issue on a clean/non-edited ISO.
If you haven't, try NTLite's list of updates to simplify the process.
Thanks.

Please say me, why NTL does not work on Win 8.1 or 10 ?? High processor usage, but not start ??

Works fine here, looks like from the log it happens in your situation when closing the tool?
Or not you cannot even start it? That's not normal and don't know where to start, do you have a log when that happens?

I see an error after integrating KB3172729, try running the tool from Win8.1 or Win10, as the popup suggests.
From then on image got corrupted, and the tool potentially didn't clean that task properly and it got stuck waiting for it on exit.

You could try the NTLite's update list, on a fresh Win8.1 ISO (from Win7 if you want), and I should try this update pack if you confirm that the issue happens again (error after KB3172729).

Thanks.

The log is from win 7, using NTL for 8.1

But chaning system to 8.1 or 10, no start but high cpu usage and cpu went off ! Never seen before.
I must look, if there is a log for that in 8.1 or 10.

I use 3 different HDDs in one system, mainly 7, one with 8.1 and one with 10 somtimes for testing.

Be sure to upload that %temp%\ntlite.log when it gets stuck, would like to adapt it to your system.

Thanks.
