Hi,

Please help me out integrating the latest Cumulative Update of November 12, 2024 i.e, KB5046615 (OS Build 17763.6532) into boot.wim (Windows Setup x64) of Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 x64 (en-US).

Tool: v2024.11.10166

ISO: en_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2019_x64_dvd_5795bb03.iso (OS Build - 17763.316)

Files used as listed by tool:
1)SSU (KB5005112) August 10, 2021
2)Cumulative Update (KB5046615) November 12, 2024 (OS Build 17763.6532)

Update boot manager option in Update menu is selected.

Error: Skipped - "Operation requires missing files"

What part of the solution am i missing? DU is not applied intentionally. Please note that i am able to update install.wim of the same ISO to the latest November build.

You are trying to integrate only LCU KB5046615 and not SSU KB5005112. Do not check the Update boot manager option in the Update menu.

I'm trying to apply the latest Cumulative Update (KB5063159) for my 'Lited Win10 22H2 (Windows 10 Core 22H2 x64 - 10.0.19045.200) using the latest NTLite (2025.7.10509).

I, too, am receiving an error message from NTLite saying that the operation requires missing files. (See screen shot.)

It might be that I should have installed one of the underlying KB's - maybe "Safe OS Dynamic Update for WinRE"?

(Before I started the update process and refreshed the Update List, there was another KB that had the word "Dynamic" in it too - something about Windows Update. I didn't download it. But that KB isn't listed now after I tried installing the Cumulative update.)

In the old days of NTLite, NTLite warned us (with Red X's) when a necessary KB was missing/needed for another KB.

Does NTLite still do this check? If I upload a log from NTLite, can one of you experts tell me what file(s) are missing?

I reloaded the host and went to the Download Updates page again and the KB that I hadn't dowloaded prior to the Processing the Cumulative Update appears again. It is KB5056474 - Setup Dynamic Update. Which NTLite shows as "Incompatible."

Is this a problem with my Lite'd Win10, NTLite, or because I have SledgeHammer blocking Windows updates?

You should attach your preset, so we can what NTLite thinks it should be updating.

You got something weird. Have you tried disabling Defender or your AV?
Code:
7/4/2025 1:27:18 PM Error '[1006] The volume for a file has been externally altered so that the opened file is no longer valid.' Read XML: G:\NTLite\Presets\614a 612 b with autopilot removed. no online users.fax back in.xml

Your preset was originally longer than the attached copy.

There's some external corruption happening here.

Thanks for looking into this.

I removed Defender a long time ago and I do not have any AV.

Looks like I'm going to have to do a Host Refresh. (Where I just posted in another thread about the new "automatic?" /forcelistcomponents feature.)

This error can appears when integrating a CU with a modified image (components already removed)
Are you using a modified image/ISO ?
