Whenever you Apply pending changes and create an ISO, NTLite will always save a copy of the current session's changes to an auto-saved preset file, along with a copy of the NTLite.log. The auto-saved preset is there to help new users, in case you've forgotten to save the session to a file.

Both files are optional, and can be removed. If you prefer not to keep any auto-saved files, then open NTLite's settings and uncheck the "Backup preset and log on the edited image" checkbox.

If Unattended mode is Enabled, NTLite will create an autounattend.xml for you. But if you prefer to write your own custom XML file, or use one generated from Windows Answer File Generator or Generate autounattend.xml files for Windows 10/11, then copy it to the ISO folder yourself.

Do not mix the two methods, as NTLite's Unattended will overwrite any autounattend.xml file it finds in the ISO folder. For the most part, NTLite duplicates the functionality found in both answer file sites, with a few exceptions.
