Remote Dekstop Client Alternative?

Is it possible to remove everything "remote related" from windows ISO and still use an alternative remote desktop application to connect to another pc?

If so, what's a good open source alternative to remote desktop client?
 
I'm not sure how it would behave with all the in-built RDP "plumbing" removed from Windows but I've used FreeRDP in the past and it was pretty good.
 
Removed anything RDP related and TrustViewer works just fine. Only one file instead of TeamViewer portable as example.
Using 19043.1083 and before.

Hmm, I think it requires you to install the software on the remote pc too which is not possible for me (work pc)

I'm connecting to remote network thru Fortinet vpn and then use windows remote desktop client to connect to a specific pc in that network.
 
Notting to install. Just a link to remote desktop client mail.
It's a single portable file create end-to-end encrypted support via internet.

What do you mean?

Here's what I have for remote connection:
Public IP address of remote network / password to join that network thru VPN (normally I use fortinet vpn client for that)
Internal IP address/standard user account password of the PC (I use Windows Remote Desktop Client for this after I'm connected via VPN)

I can't change anything on the remote computer.
