I just now noticed this, I'm on version 1.7.6.6912 (64 bit). The option seemed to be there last week but upon editing a .wim this morning I cannot find the setting anymore. It should be under > Configure > Settings > Explorer > Show People on Taskbar (close to the "Show Task View Button" option).
