I was trying to fix problem with Store app even that compability for store app was selected there was missing app technically window store was working but there was error:StoreDesktopExtension.exe is kinda missing so i finally found out that "shared experiences" maybe it should be add to Store compability options that you wont be able to disable "shared experiences" if Store compability is selected and also Snip & Sketch is not working if "shared experiences" is removed so im guessing same thing can be added for Snipping tool compability and additionally if "Data Sharing service" is removed when you try to take sceenshot with Snip & Sketch it gets error "file not found"

so shortly

Store Compability should have
Shared Experiences

Snipping Tool/Snip & Sketch Compability should have
Shared Experiences
Data Sharing service

to make NtLite Better! because i just wanna support this amazing software

Just as reminder, older Snip & Sketch app versions are "less connected" and don't always have this dependency. In the more recent builds, the idea is that you can share items from your history across different devices you're logged on to.

I agree there should be an advisory, but since it's probably too much work to track down which versions started this dependency, it may be better to suggest the user try keeping these components in more recent Windows (like W11).

Yeah definitely the work is too much to follow i agree in that, the test which i made are from Win10 2025 update September so if anyone is interested at these two things can follow it

I can also add something for Creative Cloud Users (Adobe softwares)

Creative cloud cant be installed without

Internet Explorer (overdated long time ago but still)
Edge

Or Gaming

Spatial Sound (GTA Enhanced version not running without this service)
Windows Media Codecs (GTA Enhanced version not running without this service)

Adobe installers are known to have a dependency on the legacy HTML functions in IE11. That component is now present as "Edge - Legacy" and should be kept for backwards compatibility.

Some 3rd-party games will expect various Windows Media codecs or enhanced sound features, instead of providing their own libraries.

These issues have been noted in previous forum discussions. But as games change, their requirements can change too. /shrug

yes I understand that Edge-Legacy should be kept for backwards compability but even when i keep it

Edge-Chromium
Edge-Legacy

if internet explorer is removed Adobe Creative cloud doesnt wanna be installedIE.jpg

Yeah I had to deal with this issue a few months ago. Adobe frustratingly requires Internet Explorer to be in the system for their installer to work.

I'm currently working on creating a super lightweight Windows build.

Recently, I tested Windows 11 Pro (September 2025 build) with Adobe Creative Cloud, and I found a few components that definitely should not be removed if you want everything to work properly:

  • Microsoft Edge (Chromium)
  • Microsoft Edge (Legacy)
  • Edge Update Service
  • Network Profile (32-bit) — Removing this causes Creative Cloud to show an error saying it can’t connect to Adobe servers.
  • Internet Explorer — Required if you’re installing via Creative_Cloud_Set-Up.exe. However, if you keep the Microsoft Store, you can install Creative Cloud without Internet Explorer.
