Hey, does anyone have any idea why wouldn't the SolidWORKS setup.exe or the sldIM.exe open/start at all on a fresh install of Windows 10 22H2 19045.7184 made with the Lite template and the following compatibility settings enabled:
Microsoft Office
Visual Studio
Bluetooth
Network Discovery
Night light
Printing + Scanner
Recommended
Shell Search
Windows Update
Camera
Video Playback
Windows Activation
OOBE
WLAN
I checked some of the components and I re-enabled IE 11 and HTML Viewer - 32 bit but I'm at my wits end here. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you . Just so is clear, I got the ISO from UUPDump, 22H2 19045.7184 latest feature update then stripped it with NTLite using the Lite Template. I have WebView2 installed also.

Edit: I attached the preset .xml file

Depends on what features they're looking. Possiblly Edge (Legacy) which has a HTML/web URL library, or Windows Media Frameworks if they want to play training videos.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll try a ISO with the Edge (legacy) component installed and I'll be back with an update.

Actually, I found the fix, I was missing a .dll file from SysWOW64, Windows.UI.dll was the culprit, but I would like to know what Component from NTLite controls whether the .dll is present or not.
I'm pretty sure its a 32bit component but I can't figure out which one.

From the Components screen, you can click on the Compatibility button (in the toolbar) and manually protect a file.

This instructs NTLite to keep the listed file(s) when removing the parent component.
