Hi everybody,

After inserting a Windows 11 Pro 24H2 installation USB flash drive into a Dell or Lenovo laptop, the USB starts up nicely until the installation should begin. Then you see very briefly the setup screen of Windows 11 and then the laptop reboots immediately.

What could be going on? I have never experienced this before with NTLite.

Attached is an export as XML with my settings from NTLite.

I am using a Single Seat license and version 2024.10.10089 of NTLite.

Thanks for thinking with me and hopefully one of you will have the solution.

Test in layers to avoid this as you build an image, then you can reverse the layer that breaks things and start troubleshooting the suspects, which are already narrowed down into a smaller list due to the efficient approach. In other words, try the same preset with only component removals, then if it works add registry keys, then try the unattended file, followed by drivers, and post-setup items last.

Alternatively, troubleshoot in reverse by removing the most suspect layer, which sounds like the drivers to me, since there seems to be a lot of different networking files there. Post-setup /passive means the computer is allowed to reboot automatically, so those may need to be updated. Also, I'm not sure what the -- paramater is for on the USB graphics executable and that probably needs a silent switch too.

I see that you have integrated a lot of drivers
But try by integrating the Intel RST drivers, on this kind of laptop, they are sometimes mandatory to install Windows
