The new Visual Effects - System does not seem to work, I still get UI animations despite several reboots

Hi,

The new Settings->Visuals->Visual Effects does not seem to work properly, I still get animations despite several reboots. It used to work before this change and just needed a reboot after a fresh install. Now, after several reboots I still get animated windows opening, animated contextual menus, etc. Am I missing something or is this a bug?

Can confirm they do not apply if disabled.

With nuhi we tested some but not all of them. And in 2 or 3 tested, there was already this "non-application" problem.

Since those settings are both in machine and user? I've gotten the reg edits I have to remove checked boxes a few times but not consistently
