i think it would be better tho, description kinda of helps you understand what you're removingLet's talk about it, because to me the lower one is better, you did not hover the component to see the same info.
So I see one issue with the new one, the auto-sizing of the names should be wider, it cut some names.
I presume you prefer all those descriptions and locks listed all at once? It can be surfaced as an option if actually necessary.
Descriptions are not gone, just hover the component. No point in listing all of them at once, like wall of text.i think it would be better tho, description kinda of helps you understand what you're removing
OK, will add the option. Thanks. To be honest, I prefer the old way too. Hiding the notes and extra info and having to hover over items to revel them is somewhat counterproductive as it requires additional hand motions to see something that is normally out there, in the clear.
Size is the least important bit of info, I think, notes and extra info are more useful, so the size column is better at the end, as it was before.
So yeah, I'd prefer the old way where the info is all visible, no hiding stuff. The space is there, we're not gaining anything by hiding the notes and extra info. I prefer clearly visible information over empty space
Also, having the columns resizable, and having the app remember the column width would be useful, IMHO. I think they stopped being resizable at some point, I may be wrong though.
Thank you Nuhi for your consideration!
I'm an old school nerd so I like a wall of textDescriptions are not gone, just hover the component. No point in listing all of them at once, like wall of text.
Speak for yourself.we ain't afraid of wall of text
Oh come on, seriously? You never came across as someone who'd be afraid of wall of textSpeak for yourself.
Nuhi and I had discussed it, and I also agreed that since there's space, we might as well use itSo yeah, I'd prefer the old way where the info is all visible, no hiding stuff. The space is there, we're not gaining anything by hiding the notes and extra info. Now, there is huge empty space that really serves no purpose. I prefer clearly visible information over empty space![]()
I prefer to figure things out for myself too (though at times it just makes more sense to ask for light than to keep poking around in the dark). That's why I think having all that information clearly visible all the time is useful, as opposed to having to hover over items every time you want to see the notes or the extra info. These often have very useful information that you might miss if they're hidden.I didnt get w7 x64 installed at 1.26(1.32-1.36)GB by constantly asking questions(i admit i more than likely did ask some) because its wayyy quicker to try something than wait around for an answer, do the build - test - install and you get an answer within an hour.
NTLite test builds and DM's with nuhi helped a lot![]()
