Hello.

Language Pack for .NET 4.8.1 KB5011054.

And other related updates.

"Integrate updates" is enabled for all images.

The Language Pack was not integrated into "Windows PE" "PE" and "Setup." The message is: "This package is not applicable to this image."

How can I ensure that such updates are only integrated into the Windows edition?

Language Packs for .NET only provide regional error messages for .NET library functions. They do not change any Windows behavior, other than when a .NET app throws an exception.

Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8.1 Language Pack on Windows 10 version 21H2, Windows 10 version 22H2, Windows 11 version 21H2, Windows Server 2022 (Desktop, Azure Editions), Azure Stack 21H2 and Azure Stack 22H2 (KB5027937)
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8.1 Language Pack contains localized resources for supported languages. It contains translated error messages and other UI text for languages other than English. If you do not install a language pack, the text is displayed in English. You can install multiple language packs on a computer, each for a different language.

WinPE supports a different set of WinPE-only Optional Components (OC).
WinPE Optional Components

This includes NetFX 4.5, but no support for .NET 4.8.1 because it's too big to fit under a WinPE image. .NET 4.8 or 4.8.1 has never been supported under WinPE. There are separate LP's for WinPE (itself) and for adding language support to the Setup.exe.

Then, when I open https://www.ntlite.com/community/index.php?forums/questions-and-reports.4/, I don't see my post. Not even yesterday's.
I see this post in my forum view for Questions and Reports.

This language pack is bundled with other updates for installation.

For these updates under "Apply"/"Image Process Queue"/"Integrate-Update," I check all the boxes.

How can I ensure that the language pack is only installed for Windows Pro?

(Image. This is what I see. No new posts.)

Some updates are only targeted for install images, and not applicable to boot.wim. WinPE exists briefly to launch Setup, and exit. Unless you need Dynamic Updates, there's no point trying to integrate them.

Just because you can check all of the boxes in "Reapply tasks across editions", doesn't mean you should or it will work. boot.wim only benefits from adding the same drivers as from the install image. Other changes are not really useful to add.

The reason your thread isn't listed higher in the subforum, is pinned threads are always listed before non-pinned threads. I know, because most of those threads were pinned by myself as admin.

All the updates I have can be applied to install images, boot.wim, WinPE, and PE. Only this language pack is only for install images. What should I do? Run two rounds?

If you insist on apply all updates to all images, then you need to perform two separate passes. But I'm telling you it's an unneeded step since WinPE Setup doesn't really benefit from Monthly Updates. WinRE (which is part of the install image) can benefit.
