Touch keyboard problem

Touch keyboard in the taskbar appearing but the keys aren't working​

I've been having this problem for so long now, i click on the touch keyboard in the taskbar and it appears but the keys aint working at all, also the clipboard when i click to paste it won't work, is there any way to fix this? i've looked up solutions but its all for "on-screen keyboard" which is not the problem here, i hope someone could help.
