Unable to log onto local account

I have not been very successful in booting to a local account with W11. This is my current preset. I have started from scratch. I used rufus to create the bootable USB stick.

Unfortunately I have to use a another approach to use windows 11 in a local account setting.

Are you using any of Rufus' Windows settings? That creates a hidden \Windows\Panther\unattend.xml, which can conflict with the normal autounattend.xml.
 
Question, can NTlite create a bootable usb stick? Or is there another tool I can use?

No it can't
Try use Ventoy as you can drag'n'drop ISO files directly on a Ventoy formatted USB drive and it'll find all ISO's when booting to the USB.

Not for NTFS.

You can use Rufus to prepare the USB drive, just don't use Rufus' Windows customizations since it creates a conflicting unattended file.

NTLite already provides you the same features:
- Setup Requirement - RAM, TPM and Secure Boot​
- BypassNRO​
- Unattended setting for Skip privacy options​
- Create Local account based on your current username​
- Import locale settings based on your Windows settings​

So you don't need to use Rufus to perform those customizations, unless you're on the free edition.

OP is licenced so just need to check Settings for the mentioned setup requirements and can postpone Rufus.
 
Next patch Tuesday I will do as suggested. Bascially do not check anything on Rufus windows customization menu.

I'm not bothered by Rufus, I don't use it (no third-party software for that matter)

Why wait if you've a working distro and just load it again and do the changes in Settings as Garlin supposed:
- Setup Requirement - RAM, TPM and Secure Boot

My options on the windows customization screen is somewhat different. But you are saying uncheck all.

Franis is right, and Ventory is the perfect open-source alternative. It does not conflict with NTLite modified ISO. I use it to put the WTG and PE in the same USB stick. And there is no need to format the USB flash drive. Excellent compatibility.
 
We're not talking about rufus - forget it..
In NTL disable both if unsure:

Disable BitLocker = System / Automatic device encryption (BitLocker)
 
I did disable bitlocker drive encryption. Bored tonight, tried rufus with all the items unchecked. I know I have internet connection. But I get the following error. This error applies to windows update as well as ms Store.

I have been trying to isolate the problem with the error.

Think I have isolated it to two possibilites.

Delivery optimation
Hypervisor.

I used system restore to verify the posibilites.
