So, after meticulously tearing down the Windows 11 IoT LTSC .iso -- I'm greeted by the attached error log.

Now, presumably I have incorrectly configured how the <DiskConfiguration> portion of the .xml is supposed to be formatted, or I have overlooked some minor detail(s), but I cannot seem to figure out what.

It's quite possible that I've removed some necessary component (from the .iso) by mistake, and that could be why the resulting BCD errors have occurred. And unless I'm mistaken, those initial errors that appear in the log are to be expected (to some degree) when certain OOBE changes are made. But of course, I'm happy to be wrong and corrected on the matter, because I feel like it's close to booting (usually fails at 80%), but this continues to halt my progress.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

W11 LTSC is based on W11 24H2, and the new Setup client doesn't install Windows when you're missing the Recovery partition. If you have a licensed copy of NTLite, switch to the legacy Setup by choosing Settings / System / Boot/Setup - Legacy.

Ah, that is certainly something I would've overlooked. Good to know! Thank you.

But I suppose it's worth asking, should I also create the recovery environment in the .xml file, in addition to unloading the modified .iso and then adjusting that setting as well?

Under the old Setup client, you have the option to not create a Recovery partition, and separately remove WinRE from the image if you never intend to create a recovery disk.

Or provide everything that the new Setup client is expecting, both a valid Recovery partition and not removing WinRE from the image.

Having a Recovery environment is useful to have in case you get into trouble. If you have a dual-boot setup, or a dependable WinPE recovery image then it's less important to keep.
