NTLite version: 2026.1.10761 (licensed)
Host OS: Windows 11 Pro 25H2 x64 – 10.0.26220.7653 (de-DE)
Source image: UUPDump ISO, Windows 11 26H2 x64 – 10.0.26300.9550 (de-DE), install.wim with 2 indexes:
  • Index 1: Windows 11 Home (Core)
  • Index 2: Windows 11 Pro (Professional)
Unattended settings: Enabled, “Copy to image” on, “Prompt for edition selection” on, OOBE skipped (local account, AutoLogon). The full preset is attached.

Steps to reproduce:
  1. Load index 1 (Home) and apply my preset.
  2. Load index 2 (Pro) and apply the same preset.
  3. Go to Apply and process. Save mode: Save + Rebuild, no trim.
Expected:
Both indexes get the unattended task, and both contain Windows\Panther\unattend.xml.

Actual:
  • The task list for index 1 shows “Configure – Unattended” (autounattend.xml / Copy to image / Prompt for edition). After processing, Windows\Panther\unattend.xml exists in index 1.
  • The task list for index 2 has no “Configure – Unattended” entry at all. All other tasks are there: updates, 309 removed components, drivers, tweaks, registry, post-setup. After processing, index 2 has no Panther folder.
  • Result: installing Home skips OOBE as configured, while installing Pro runs the full OOBE.
The same workflow worked fine with earlier NTLite versions, where both editions were installed unattended.

Workaround: Manually copy unattend.xml into Windows\Panther of index 2 using DISM.

Attachments: preset XML, screenshots of the Apply task list for index 1 and index 2.

Thank you, confirmed.
Releasing publicly on Monday most probably, collected a few fixes, let me know if you want a test version before that.
